Step into the world of creativity and innovation with our Intake 1 Project Showcase! Our talented students from the first intake have poured their passion and expertise into crafting stunning interior design projects that will leave you inspired.
Established in 2015, IDS was born from a shared interest of ideas and knowledge about interior design by the founders. It was the shared interest and a hobby in teaching, combined with the desire to be lifelong learners, that brought them together to build up a school. They carried with them a mutual vision to provide guidance and a pathway to aspiring interior design students.
The co-founders, Ko Min Myo Oo, Ko Thant Zin Oo, and Ma Zin Min Aye, embarked on a journey of starting up an interior design school from diverse backgrounds. Ko Min Myo Oo and Ko Thant Zin Oo were working overseas in Singapore, while Ma Zin Min Aye was working in Myanmar. All three of them were extremely passionate about interior design and had the desire to share their knowledge to the people in Myanmar. The co-founders were writing blogs, speaking at seminars, and sharing all they could in their respective ways. Through their networking and involvement with organizations like AMID and their roles as judges for 'Design in Myanmar,' they built a strong foundation of expertise.
Their plans to open a school in Yangon began to crystallize when their paths converged in Yangon. The first intake in 2017 marked the beginning of their shared mission to shape the future of interior design education in Myanmar.
